The free class

It is a class,
not a sales call

Your child joins a live session with a WhyCosmos instructor, works through one real idea from the course, and answers questions out loud. You watch from the same screen. By the end you have seen how we teach and whether your child leans in. If the fit is wrong, we will say so.

Why parents choose WhyCosmos

Taught the way the
subject deserves

Taught live, every week

Every class is led by an instructor with deep subject knowledge. No recordings, no generalist tutors reading slides.

Small live cohorts

Groups of 12 to 16, grouped by age, so an 8-year-old is never sitting with teenagers.

Real space, not simulations

Students work with real mission data and satellite experiments, not animations of them.

Built by people who have shipped

Founded by LSE and ex-AWS alumni, with guest sessions from working scientists and engineers.

Questions parents ask

Is the class really free?

Yes. The demo class is free and we do not ask for payment details to book it. Your child attends a live 45-minute session and you sit in. You only pay if you choose to enrol afterwards, and even then you can get a full refund within 7 days, as long as your child hasn't started the first live class yet.

What age is this for?

Courses run for ages 8+, and cohorts are grouped by age so younger children are never placed with teenagers. The instructor adjusts depth to the group. The free class is the honest test of fit. If it is wrong for your child, we will tell you.

How much screen time does it add?

One live class a week, plus optional activities that mostly happen away from the screen: observation tasks, building exercises, and worksheets. Classes are interactive, with your child speaking and answering, which is a different thing from passive watching.

What happens after I book?

You receive a confirmation with the class time and a join link. Your child attends live while you watch. After the class there is no pressure: you decide whether to enrol, and we share the syllabus so you can take your time.
